Understanding the history and governance of Minnesota’s 11 Tribal Nations is essential for Native youth and educators alike. This lesson introduces students to Minnesota’s 11 Tribal Nations, exploring who they are, where they are, and their history.
This is me in tech
It is important that our youth can see themselves in tech. This lesson asks students to build a webpage they see themselves as creators, innovators, and future Tribal leaders in the digital space.
They’ll learn CSS basics to customize their site’s design while writing a short blog post on how tech can empower them and their communities.

Every story has power. This lesson guides students in creating a digital newspaper-style webpage, where they’ll write and format articles about personal experiences, Tribal history, community news, and Native current events.
Along the way, they’ll practice HTML & CSS, organizing content with headlines, columns, and images. This hands-on project strengthens storytelling, research, and web design skills—while amplifying Native voices in media.
